Dan's interest in music started in 5th grade when he was 1st chair saxophone in his grade school band for two years. After being introduced to rock music by his older brother, he decided to try guitar and take guitar classes in middle school. Through further memories of growing up banging on ice cream and peanut butter buckets, decided that drums were more in his path than any other instrument. So he played in bands of different people at high school basement parties and one cd recording till joining the Milwaukee cover band The Sweettarts as their drum tech, stage manager and door man in 1997.

After the retirement and restructuring of the band in 2001, he was asked by the Sweettarts to purchase Loud & Clear sound and continue to be the sound provider for the band. After 6 years with the band and 4 years learning and engineering monitors for the band.. he finally went out front to have other people hear my mix in 2003 as Sweettarts sound engineer backup. On free nights he picked up production jobs with The Johnsons, 76 Juliet and Minneapolis' Catchpenny. He started working with Bedlam in 2004, Headwork, Marashino and Codebreaker in 2006 and Cold Sweat in 2007.
